What is CPC?

Cell Phones for Cancer, LLC, is an electronics recycling company that donates a portion of its proceeds to helping fight cancer. With the help of the community and other organizations, CPC collects various broken or old electronics, such as cell phones, from all around the US, which are then shipped to larger recycling facilities and are turned into useful parts. By doing this, CPC is able to help keep toxic chemicals out of landfills while aslo helping people in need.

DKMS was started in Germany in 2001 with the mission to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients. More than 20,000 DKMS donors have helped save lives by donating their bone marrow. DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world with over 2 million registered donors. DKMS Americas was founded in 2004 and has since registered more than 125,000 donors, and more than 170 DKMS Americas donors have gone on to donate their bone marrow.

However, there is still more work to do as only 4 out of 10 people will receive a life-saving transplant. DKMS will continue to recruit bone marrow donors until every patient gets a second chance at life.

Taking care of the earth and the people on it.
